ASSALAAMU A'LAYKA
YAA ABAA JAA'-FAR
MUH'AMMADIBNA A'LIYYINIL BARRAT TAQIYYAL
IMAAMAL WAFIYY Peace be on you,
O Aba Jaa'far
Muhammad bin Ali the pious, God fearing and
faithful guide!
ASSALAAMU A'LAYKA
AYYUHAR RAZ"IYYUZ ZAKIYY Peace be on you,
O the chosen wise!
ASSALAAMU A'LAYKA
YAAWALIYYALLAAH Peace be on you,
O the representative of Allah!
ASSALAAMU A'LAYKA
YAA NAJIYYALLAAH Peace be on you,
O the confidant of Allah!
ASSALAAMU A'LAYKA
YAA SAFEERALLAAH Peace be on you,
O the ambassador of Allah!
ASSALAAMU A'LAYKA
YAA SIRRALLAAH Peace be on you,
O he to whom Allah imparted His secrets!
ASSALAAMU A'LAYKA
YAA Z"IYAAA-ALLAAH Peace be on you,
O the reflection of the light of Allah!
ASSALAAMU A'LAYKA
YAA SANAA-ALLAAH Peace be on you,
O the splendour of Allah!
ASSALAAMU A'LAYKA
YAA KALIMATALLAAH Peace be on you,
O the word of Allah!
ASSALAAMU A'LAYKA
YAA RAH'MATALLAAH Peace be on you,
O the mercy of Allah!
ASSALAAMU A'LAYKA
AYYUHAN NOORUS SAAT'I-U' Peace be on you,
O the many splendoured light!
ASSALAAMU A'LAYKA
AYYUHAL BADRUT'T'AALI-U' Peace be on you,
O the rising moon!
ASSALAAMU A'LAYKA
AYYUHAT'T'AYYIBU MINAT'T'AYYIBEEN Peace be on you,
O the pure, the offspring of the pure!
ASSALAAMU A'LAYKA
AYYUHAT'T'AAHIRU MINAL MUT'AHHAREEN Peace be on you,
O the purified, the offspring of the purified!
ASSALAAMU A'LAYKA
AYYUHAL AAYATUL U'Z'MAA Peace be on you,
O the essential sign of Allah!
ASSALAAMU A'LAYKA
AYYUHAL H'UJJATUL KUBRAA Peace be on you,
O the decisive argument of Allah!
ASSALAAMU A'LAYKA
AYYUHAL MUT'AHHARU MINAZ ZALLAAI Peace be on you,
O he who was free from errors!
ASSALAAMU A'LAYKA
AYYUHAL MUNAZZAHU A'NIL MUA'-Z"ILAAT Peace be on you,
O he who had been kept free from anger!
ASSALAAMU A'LAYKA
AYYUHAL A'LIYYUA'N NAQS'IL AWS'AAF Peace be on you,
O he who overpowered imperfection!
ASSALAAMU A'LAYKA
AYYUHAR RAZ"IYYU I'NDAL ASHRAAF Peace be on you,
O the favorite of the nobles!
ASSALAAMU A'LAYKA
YAA A'MOODAD DEEN Peace be on you,
O the mainstay of the religion!
ASHHADU ANNAKA WALIYYULLAAHI
WA H'UJJATUHU FEE ARZ"IHI
WA ANNAK JANBULLAAHI
WA KHIYARATULLAAHI
WA MUSTAWDA-U' I'LMILLAAHI
WA I'LMIL AMBIYAAA-I
WA RUKNUL EEMAAN
WA TARJUMAANUL QURAAN
I bear witness that you are the representative of Allah,
and His evident proof on the earth,
verily, you are with Allah
you are His goodness,
it is you who had been entrusted with the wisdom of Allah,
and the wisdom of the Prophets!
you are the supporter of the faith,
the interpreter of the Quran.
WA ASHHADU ANNA
MANIT-TABA-A'KA A'LAL H'AQQI
WAL HUDAA
WA NANNA MAN ANKARAKA
WA NAS'ABA LAKAL A'DAAWATA A'LAZ'Z'ALAALATI
WAR RADAA ABRA-U ILALLAAHI
WA ILAYKA MINHUM
FID DUNYAA WA AAKHIRAH I bear witness that
whosoever follows you walks on the true
and right path,
who forsakes you and gives over to your hostility goes astray
and wanders in the darkness.
I turn to Allah
and you by avoiding them,
in this world and the Hereafter.
WAS SALAAMU A'LAYKA MAA BAQEETU
WA BAQIYAL LAYLU
WAN NAHAAR Peace be on you,
till I am alive and the days and nights
follow each other.
